Meet Our Staff

Jim Jones, Pastor

Jim graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and also holds a Master of Divinity from Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Jim is a native of Oklahoma having grown up in Stroud where he graduated from high school. After attending Oklahoma State University, he attended the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine for one year. After spending several years in sales and management, primarily with Abbott Laboratories, he answered the call to ministry in 1989. Jim served at Village UMC in Oklahoma City and at Cashion as a student pastor and then as the associate pastor of Nichols Hills UMC in Oklahoma City. He was pastor of Grace UMC in Altus for eight years before coming to Christ United in June, 2004.

Jim and his wife, Lou Ann, have been married since 1978 and have three children – Chris and his wife, Emily, live in Perry; Laurie and her husband Russell who live in Enid; and Tyler, who attends Enid High School.

The Administrative Assistant for CUMC as well as the director of our Children's Day Out program is available in the office to answer your questions on both church activities and the CDO program!

Bailey Phillips, Youth Director

Bailey is working with our youth whiile finishing her Bachelors Degree at Rogers State University.  She will graduate in May with a degree in Corporate Communications.  Bailey grew up here at Christ UMC and has been a member her entire life.  She was active in our youth group and in 4-H and loved taking part in Youth Force.  This summer she will be taking our youth to Youth Force Mustang and will lead them in "flocking" the City of Enid with flamingos.
